Your steps are what hatch your egg and grow your creature, so Trotlings asks for permission to read your step count from Apple Health. It asks for steps and nothing else.

Your step count is read on your phone. It is never sent to analytics and never ranked.

Trotlings shows the same step count that Apple Health has. If Health is a little off, Trotlings will be too.

Carrying your iPhone or wearing your Apple Watch gives Health the best picture of your day.

1. Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen.
2. Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
3. Search for Trotlings and pick a size.

Lock Screen widgets work the same way. Touch and hold your Lock Screen, then tap Customize.

Yes. Your creature can live on your Apple Watch face and you can open the Trotlings app on your wrist.

Free gives you the basic Watch look. Plus adds more styles.

Rest days are part of the walk. There are no streaks to lose and nothing to feel bad about. Your creature keeps what it has grown and waits for you.

Open the Herd tab, start a herd, and share the invite. You can send a link, or read out the six-letter code.

A herd can have two to eight friends. Free herds hold up to four, and Plus raises that to eight.

If they already have Trotlings, they can type the six-letter code when they choose to join a herd. If they tap your link, the app opens and shows them the invite.

Capital letters do not matter. If the code does not work, it may have expired. Send a fresh one.

Friends in your herd see your name and your creature. If you switch sharing on, they also see your weekly step total.

They never see your daily steps, and steps are never ranked. Sharing is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.

No. Friends who join with your invite never see a sign-in screen or a paywall. They can walk with your herd for free.

You can leave a herd from the Herd tab. The person who started the herd can also remove someone from it.

If someone is bothering you, you can block them from the herd screen. Blocked people cannot see you or invite you again.

Free gives you one creature, a herd of up to four friends, the daily lucky box, and basic widgets and Watch styles.

Plus costs $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. It adds herds of up to eight, extra widget and Watch styles, your full step and herd history, and a free item pick every month.

No. The daily lucky box is earned by walking, it is free, and the odds are shown. Nothing you buy can get you a draw.

Item packs add new species and accessories, and cost between $1.99 and $4.99. They are separate from Plus.

You can send a pack to a friend as a gift. Choose the pack, pick your friend, and they will find it waiting in their app.

Open Settings in Trotlings and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases go through Apple, so use the same Apple Account you bought with.

If you chose to sign in with Apple, your creatures and herd come back too.

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Trotlings Plus. Tap Cancel Subscription.

You keep Plus until the end of the time you have paid for. Your history stays safe, and a free limit never deletes anything.

An account with no email or password is made for you the first time you open the app. Signing in with Apple is optional, and it helps keep your creatures safe if you change phones.

Open Settings in Trotlings and choose Delete Account. This removes your account and what we hold for it. There are no ads and no AI art anywhere in the app.
